Transcriptome profiling revealed heat stress-responsive genes in Arabidopsis through integrated bioinformatics analysis

Meili Guo et al.

Summary: Heat stress is an environmental challenge that reduces plant productivity and growth. Plants have developed mechanisms to adapt to this stress, involving specific gene regulation. Through bioinformatics analysis, differentially expressed genes in response to heat stress were identified and their functions and interactions were revealed.

Physiological and comparative transcriptome analysis of leaf response and physiological adaption to saline alkali stress across pH values in alfalfa (Medicago sativa)

Yue Wang et al.

Summary: Soil salinization limits plant growth and function, with more damage from alkaline salt. Research on saline alkali stress across different pH levels is lacking. A study on alfalfa leaves showed low pH stress promoted chlorophyll synthesis, while high pH stress inhibited photosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism, leading to oxidative damage. Osmotic adjustment substances like soluble sugar and proline played a role in adapting to high pH alkali stress.

Genotypic diversity of quality traits in Chinese foxtail millet (Setaria italica L.) and the establishment of a quality evaluation system

Mingjie Sun et al.

Summary: This study evaluated 90 accessions of foxtail millet in China for 23 quality traits and established a comprehensive quality evaluation system, identifying 8 high-quality accessions. The results showed diverse coefficients of variation for the 23 quality traits, with significant differences among the accessions. Cluster analysis and principal component analysis were used to categorize the accessions and extract seven principal components, respectively.
