Influence of bimetallic characteristics on the performance of MoCoP and MoFeP catalysts for methyl laurate hydrodeoxygenation

D. Garcia-Perez et al.

Summary: The study investigated the influence of bimetallic characteristics on catalytic activity and selectivity, finding that MoP/SiO2 exhibited the highest conversion rate for methyl laurate, MoCoP/SiO2 showed the highest hydrocarbon formation yield, and CoP/SiO2 had the highest C11 selectivity.

Influence of the Reduction Temperature and the Nature of the Support on the Performance of Zirconia and Alumina-Supported Pt Catalysts for n-Dodecane Hydroisomerization

Diana Garcia-Perez et al.

Summary: The reduction temperature plays a crucial role in metal dispersion and catalytic activity. Alumina and zirconia supports exhibit different catalytic properties, mainly due to variations in acid site strength and surface area. Alumina-based catalysts show higher acidity, attributed to a stronger interaction with alumina, while PtW/Al catalyst displays superior catalytic performance due to its larger surface area.

Enhanced dispersion of nickel nanoparticles on SAPO-5 for boosting hydroisomerization of n-hexane

Ye Yang et al.

Summary: A nickel-based bifunctional catalyst was developed with enhanced hydroisomerization performance using an in-situ solid synthesis method. By controlling the EDTA/Ni2+ ratio, highly dispersed Ni nanoparticles were achieved on SAPO-5, leading to improved performance in n-hexane hydroisomerization. These results provide a facile approach for the preparation of highly dispersed non-noble metal based bifunctional catalysts at a high loading.

Promotional Effect of Pd Addition on the Catalytic Activity of Composite Pt-Pd/AlSBA-15-β Catalyst for Enhanced n-Heptane Hydroisomerization

Karolina Jaroszewska et al.

Summary: In this study, hierarchical AlSBA-15-zeolite materials were used as supports for hydroisomerization catalysts, with a focus on the effect of zeolite type and Pd addition. The Pt-Pd/AlSBA-15-β catalyst showed higher isomerization efficiency, leading to improved research octane number.
