An innovative model for predicting the displacement and rotation of column-tree moment connection under fire

Mohammad Ali Naghsh et al.

Summary: This study conducted nonlinear finite element simulations to predict the performance of column-tree moment connections under fire and static loads, and found that the rotation and deflection of the connections are affected by temperature. It also revealed that a shorter beam length can increase fire resistance, and the number of flange and web bolts slightly affect the connections at temperatures above 400 degrees Celsius.
