A tumor microenvironment-responsive poly(amidoamine) dendrimer nanoplatform for hypoxia-responsive chemo/chemodynamic therapy

Yingchao Hao et al.

Summary: In this study, a PEG-PBA-modified nanocarrier was synthesized to encapsulate a hypoxia-sensitive drug for hypoxia-enhanced chemo/chemodynamic therapy. The nanoplatform showed good stability and targeted delivery to tumor cells, effectively inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis while causing no systemic toxicity.

Remodeling endogenous H2S microenvironment in colon cancer to enhance chemodynamic therapy

Donglin Liu et al.

Summary: Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) is a minimally invasive treatment with high selectivity and promising clinical application, but it lacks effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of colon cancer due to the strongly reducing tumor microenvironment. A new strategy utilizing CuFe2O4 nanoparticles to deplete endogenous H2S and enhance CDT has been proposed, showing significant synergistic effects on improving the performance of CDT for colon cancer.

State-of-the-art advances of copper-based nanostructures in the enhancement of chemodynamic therapy

Ya-Nan Hao et al.

Summary: Chemodynamic therapy (CDT) is a novel strategy for treating tumors by inducing tumor cell death through the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Copper-based nanostructures have received significant attention for their use in CDT, in conjunction with other therapies such as photothermal therapy, photodynamic therapy, and sonodynamic therapy for synergistic treatment.
