Summary: This study examined the ability of machine learning methods to predict upgrading of Gleason score on MRI-TB of the prostate. The results showed that the AdaBoost model had a high prediction performance for upgrading by DF1, while the Random Forest model had a lower but still excellent prediction performance for upgrading by DF2.

Female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer, while lung cancer remained the leading cause of cancer death. These trends are expected to rise in 2040, with transitioning countries experiencing a larger increase compared to transitioned countries due to demographic changes and risk factors associated with globalization and a growing economy. Efforts to improve cancer prevention measures and provision of cancer care in transitioning countries will be crucial for global cancer control.

Predictive value of m5C regulatory gene expression in pancreatic adenocarcinoma

Summary: The study identified significant correlations between m5C regulatory gene changes and key genes in PAAD pathogenesis, such as TP53, BRCA1, CDKN2A, and ATM. Low DNMT3A expression was found to be associated with poor prognosis in PAAD patients as well as with ribosomal processing. This relationship was confirmed in an International Cancer Genome Consortium validation dataset.
