The Value of Magnetic Resonance Diffusion-Weighted Imaging and Dynamic Contrast Enhancement in the Diagnosis and Prognosis of Treatment Response in Patients with Epithelial Serous Ovarian Cancer

Pawel Derlatka et al.

Summary: This study describes the application of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and perfusion dynamic contrast enhancement (DCE) MRI in patients with serous epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), as well as their relationship with disease course prognosis and treatment response. The results show correlations between DWI parameters and ovarian cancer types, Ki67 and VEGF expression, as well as negative correlations between time to peek (TTP) and perfusion maximum enhancement (Perf. Max. En.) with progression-free survival (PFS). Additionally, in patients receiving maintenance treatment with bevacizumab, ADC values and TTP are associated with PFS. These parameters may be included as prognostic factors for EOC.

Prediction of Platinum-based Chemotherapy Response in Advanced High-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer: ADC Histogram Analysis of Primary Tumors

Jing Lu et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of using ADC histogram analysis of high-grade serous ovarian cancer to predict patient response to platinum-based chemotherapy. The results demonstrated that ADC histogram analysis could moderately predict patient response to platinum-based chemotherapy.

Clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic factors of ovarian granulosa cell tumors: A JSGO-JSOG joint study

Yasuhiko Ebina et al.

Summary: The study aimed to elucidate the clinicopathological features of ovarian granulosa cell tumors (GCTs) and identify prognostic factors. Lymph node metastasis rates increased with higher pathological stages in GCT patients, with residual disease after initial surgery and lymph node metastasis identified as independent risk factors for cancer-specific survival. Surgical strategies should be tailored based on pathological staging to optimize outcomes for GCT patients.
