Prostate Cancer Diffusion-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Does the Choice of Diffusion-Weighting Level Matter?

Stephan E. Maier et al.

Summary: The study investigated the impact of different b-values on contrast-to-noise ratio and ADC in prostate diffusion-weighted MRI. Results showed that with two or more measurement points, ADC was less affected by b-values, and ADC ratios showed minimal changes. Simulation data and clinical data results were consistent.

How does PI-RADS v2.1 impact patient classification? A head-to-head comparison between PI-RADS v2.0 and v2.1

Ana Sofia Linhares Moreira et al.

Summary: The most prominent change in PI-RADS classification was observed in the transition zone, where typical benign prostatic hyperplasia nodules were downgraded from category 2 to category 1. Overall, there were no significant changes in the number of positive and negative MRI results.

MRI features of the normal prostatic peripheral zone: the relationship between age and signal heterogeneity on T2WI, DWI, and DCE sequences

Vlad Bura et al.

Summary: Through mpMRI, we found that younger patients (<= 54 years) had significantly lower T2WI signal intensity, lower ADC values, and diffuse enhancement on DCE in the normal PZ, which may affect diagnostic interpretation in these patients. The proposed standardized PZ background scoring system can help convey the potential for diagnostic uncertainty to clinicians.
