Neutrophils: New Critical Regulators of Glioma

In this review, we focus on the functional roles of neutrophils in the circulation and tumour sites in patients with glioma. The mechanisms of neutrophil recruitment, immunosuppression and the differentiation of neutrophils are discussed. Finally, the potential of neutrophils as clinical biomarkers and therapeutic targets is highlighted. This review can help us gain a deeper and systematic understanding of the role of neutrophils, and provide new insights for treatment in gliomas.
