Temperature-Dependent Charge Dynamics of Double Layer Interface in 500 kV HVDC XLPE Cable Factory Joint With Different Interfacial Roughness

Fan-Bo Meng et al.

Summary: This article investigates the effect of different temperatures on the interfacial and electrical insulation properties of high voltage direct current (HVDC) cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable. The results show that the effect of interfacial roughness on insulation properties is weakened at elevated temperatures, while smooth interfaces help improving insulation properties at low temperatures.

An Overview of Linear Dielectric Polymers and Their Nanocomposites for Energy Storage

Lvye Dou et al.

Summary: Dielectric capacitors are important energy storage devices with ultrahigh power density in high-power electrical systems. Linear dielectric polymers have advantages in breakdown strength and efficiency, but are hindered by their low energy density. Nanocomposites offer a solution to this issue, potentially advancing the development and practical application of linear dielectric polymers.

Enhanced dielectric, energy storage and tensile properties of BaTiO3-NH2/low-density polyethylene nanocomposites with POE-GMA as interfacial modifier

Xuanchen Zhao et al.

Summary: The study focused on enhancing the dielectric and energy storage properties of LDPE by using BaTiO3-NH2 nanoparticles and POE-GMA as filler and interfacial modifier. By creating a soft shell/hard core structure through chemical reactions, the nanocomposites achieved superior dielectric performance with a favorable breakdown strength and high discharge energy density. This work provides a useful and straightforward approach to exploring potential dielectric candidates for energy-storage applications.

Analysis of the Storage Stability Property of Carbon Nanotube/Recycled Polyethylene-Modified Asphalt Using Molecular Dynamics Simulations

Caihua Yu et al.

Summary: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) enhance the adhesion between recycled polyethylene (RPE) and base asphalt, improving the storage stability of modified asphalt. The interaction between CNT/RPE asphalt was investigated using molecular dynamics simulation, showing increased binding energy and molecular motion in the modified asphalt system. This research provides important insights for the application of RPE in pavement engineering.
