Artificial Skin Perception

Ming Wang et al.

Summary: Electronic skin (e-skin) replicates human skin to achieve artificial sensation through flexible and stretchable electronic components. While progress has been made in data collection and transmission, the perception functionality is still in its early stage. Integrating perception into flexible sensing systems, artificial skin perception is crucial for endowing systems with higher intelligence.

A design strategy for high mobility stretchable polymer semiconductors

Jaewan Mun et al.

Summary: This study presents a simple and universal strategy to achieve intrinsically stretchable semiconducting polymers with controlled multi-scale ordering, improving their stretchability and mechanical reversibility. By incorporating two types of co-monomer units, overall crystallinity and longer-range orders are reduced while maintaining high mobility, leading to improved mechanical properties. The proposed molecular design concept is observed to be applicable to various conjugated polymer systems, resulting in enhanced mechanical properties.

Self-Powered and Imperceptible Electronic Tattoos Based on Silk Protein Nanofiber and Carbon Nanotubes for Human-Machine Interfaces

Narendar Gogurla et al.

Summary: The study introduces a substrate-free, skin-compatible, deformable triboelectric E-tattoo sticker that can be tattooed on and removed from the skin with water. When the device touches the skin, it generates triboelectric signals, producing power to activate small electronic devices and monitor joint and tactile movements.
