Deep learning enhanced Rydberg multifrequency microwave recognition

Zong-Kai Liu et al.

Summary: Combining Rydberg atoms with a deep learning model allows for the sensitivity of Rydberg atoms to be utilized while reducing the impact of noise, without the need to solve the master equation. This technology is expected to benefit Rydberg-based MW field sensing and communication.

Determining the angle-of-arrival of a radio-frequency source with a Rydberg atom-based sensor

Amy K. Robinson et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the use of a Rydberg atom-based sensor for determining the angle of arrival of an incident RF wave by measuring phase differences inside an atomic vapor cell. Comparisons with simulation and theory show the potential for using atom-based phase measurements to determine the angle of arrival of an RF field.

Nearly Quantum-Limited Josephson-Junction Frequency-Comb Synthesizer

Pinlei Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, a minimal version of coherently driven Kerr-mediated microwave-frequency combs was achieved in the circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) architecture, where quantum vacuum fluctuations serve as the primary limitation on comb coherence. The comb exhibited a phase coherence of up to 35 ?s, approaching the theoretical device quantum limit of 55 ?s, indicating a promising platform for the study of complex dynamics of quantum nonlinear systems.

Two-level systems with periodic N-step driving fields: Exact dynamics and quantum state manipulations

Zhi-Cheng Shi et al.

Summary: The study derives exact solutions of a dynamical equation representing all two-level Hermitian systems driven by periodic N-step driving fields and reveals various phenomena for different physical parameters, suitable for arbitrary parameter regimes. It is found that only a few cosine functions are sufficient to describe the dynamics of the periodic N-step driven system, and a beating in the transition probability emerges when two (or three) main frequencies are similar. Applications in quantum state manipulations by periodic N-step driving fields are also demonstrated.
