Simple electrochemical sensors for highly sensitive detection of gaseous hydrogen peroxide using polyacrylic-acid-based sensing membrane

Summary: A simple electrochemical sensing platform for detecting low concentration levels of gaseous hydrogen peroxide was presented in this study using two types of sensors with good electroanalytical performances. Both sensors showed linear responses in the examined concentration range and repeatability, successfully demonstrated by detecting gaseous H2O2 in a disinfected room.

Design and fabrication of WO3/SPE for dopamine sensing application

Synthesis of MoS2/WO3 hybrid composite for hydrazine sensing applications

High-performance hydrogen peroxide micro-sensors based on laser-induced fabrication of graphene@Ag electrodes

Summary: This study reports a rapid preparation method for laser-induced graphene electrodes anchored with silver nanoparticles (LIG@Ag) for high-resolution hydrogen peroxide detection. The synergistic effect of Ag NPs and LIG nanosheets led to excellent electrochemical performance, including a wide linear range, low detection limit, rapid response, high sensitivity, long-term stability, superior selectivity, and excellent reproducibility. With superior electrical conductivity, mechanical flexibility, and lightweight, the LIG@Ag electrode has broad prospects in large-scale fabrication of smart sensing devices.

Electrochemical sensor based on rGO/Au nanoparticles for monitoring H2O2 released by human macrophages

Summary: Increased oxidative burden is linked to the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases, with macrophages playing a role in ROS generation. A sensor for H2O2 detection released by cells in culture supernatants was evaluated for sensitivity and selectivity, and its results were consistent with those obtained using flow cytometry. It has the potential to be used for real-time monitoring of oxidative stress without impacting cell viability.

Micro-colloidal catalyst of palladium nanoparticles on polyaniline-coated carbon microspheres for a non-enzymatic hydrogen peroxide sensor

Summary: The chemical synthesis of a colloidal micro-catalyst of palladium nanoparticles decorated on polyaniline-coated carbon microspheres (PdNP-PANi/CMs) is described in this study. The catalyst was used to modify the electrode interface of a highly sensitive non-enzymatic sensor, showing excellent electrocatalytic stability and good repeatability, reproducibility, and selectivity. The developed sensor demonstrated its applicability in detecting hydrogen peroxide in human seminal fluid, with recoveries ranging from 97 +/- 2% to 102 +/- 3%. The good performances of this colloidal micro-catalyst suggest its potential for other sensing, biosensing, and biofuel cell applications.

Synthesis of spinel-type CuGa2O4 nanoparticles as a sensitive non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor for hydrogen peroxide and glucose detection

Summary: CuGa2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized using hydrothermal-calcination technique and exhibited significant electrocatalytic effects for the reduction of H2O2 and oxidation of glucose. Under optimal conditions, sensitive detection of H2O2 and glucose was achieved, showing linear changes in concentration with electrochemical signals. This promising nanoparticle could improve non-enzymatic glucose sensors.

Summary: In this study, N, S co-doped graphene/CNT-Fe3C composite materials were prepared using a high-temperature pyrolytic synthesis process, and the optimization of heteroatom doping for electrocatalytic performance towards H2O2 detection was characterized. The NS-G/CNTFe-1 electrode showed excellent catalytic activity for non-enzymatic hydrogen peroxide sensing with rapid response time, high cathodic current, wide linear range, high selectivity, and good operational stability.

A novel method for the rapid sensing of H2O2 using a colorimetric AuNP probe and its DFT study

This study demonstrates the great potential of CNW-based composite electrodes in nonenzymatic electrochemical sensor applications.
