Lepton-pair production at hadron colliders at N3LO in QCD

Claude Duhr et al.

Summary: For the first time, we have computed the complete corrections to the strong coupling constant in the inclusive neutral-current Drell-Yan process, taking into account contributions from both photon and Z-boson exchange. Our analysis includes QCD corrections to the inclusive production cross section of an axial-vector boson to third order in strong coupling, considering the effects of non-decoupling of the top-quark mass. We have also presented predictions for the inclusive Drell-Yan process at the LHC, based on this order of QCD perturbation theory.

Impact of LHCb 13 TeV W and Z pseudo-data on the parton distribution functions

Qilin Deng et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the LHCb 13 TeV data can significantly reduce the PDF uncertainty bands of CT14HERA2 PDFs, especially in the small x region. The double-differential cross section measurement of Z boson p(T) and rapidity has a significant impact on reducing the uncertainty bands of u and d quarks compared to various single observable measurements.

Drell-Yan lepton-pair production: qT resummation at N3LL accuracy and fiducial cross sections at N3LO

Stefano Camarda et al.

Summary: The study presents high-accuracy QCD predictions for Drell-Yan lepton pairs produced in hadronic collisions, including transverse-momentum distribution and fiducial cross sections. By summing up logarithmically enhanced contributions to all perturbative orders and combining with fixed-order predictions, perturbative uncertainty is reduced.

New CTEQ global analysis of quantum chromodynamics with high-precision data from the LHC

Tie-Jiun Hou et al.

Summary: The new parton distribution functions (PDFs) from the CTEQ-TEA collaboration are determined using a wide variety of high-precision Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data, in addition to other datasets. These PDFs are analyzed at next-to-leading order and next-to-next-to-leading order, with error sets determined using the Hessian method. The data sensitivity and preference towards quantities such as α(s)(m(Z)), and the gluon and strange quark distributions are quantified using fast PDF survey techniques.
