Halide Perovskite-Lead Chalcohalide Nanocrystal Heterostructures

Muhammad Imran et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel method for synthesizing colloidal CsPbX3-Pb4S3Br2 (X = Cl, Br, I) nanocrystal heterostructures, demonstrating a sharp and atomically resolved epitaxial interface between a metal halide perovskite and a non-perovskite lattice. Density functional theory calculations and spectroscopic experiments confirm the characteristics of the heterostructures and the improved stability.

Suppression of temperature quenching in perovskite nanocrystals for efficient and thermally stable light-emitting diodes

Mingming Liu et al.

Summary: Fluoride-treated CsPbBr3 nanocrystals exhibit near unity emission efficiency at temperatures up to 373 K, with constant decay kinetics. The treatment leads to surfaces rich in fluorine with wider energy gaps than the core, suppressing carrier trapping and improving thermal stability. Devices incorporating these nanocrystals show low turn-on voltage and high external quantum efficiency, with nearly 80% efficiency maintained at high temperatures, offering a promising pathway for high-performance light-emitting diodes based on perovskite nanostructures.

Self-Structural Healing of Encapsulated Perovskite Microcrystals for Improved Optical and Thermal Stability

Ruxue Li et al.

Summary: The encapsulation of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite microcrystal with a dense Al2O3 layer creates a microenvironment that allows the structure of the perovskite to self-heal under high temperature and long-time laser illumination, leading to a significant decrease in DLTS density and a 4-14 times enhancement of light emission. This micron-level environment acts as a self-sufficient high-vacuum growth chamber, maintaining excellent thermal stability of the modified structure for up to 2 years. This discovery provides a new perspective for improving the stability of perovskite and has practical implications for perovskite device applications.
