Elucidation of the accelerated sulfur vulcanization of bio oil-extended natural rubber compounds

Chesidi Hayichelaeh et al.

Summary: This study discusses the role of bio-oils in accelerating the sulfur vulcanization of natural rubber compounds. It found that bio-oils have a more effective role than DAE oil, with shorter cure and sulfurization times in bio-oil-extended NR compounds, resulting in lower crosslink density in the obtained NR vulcanizates.
