Cytotoxic performance of green synthesized Ag and Mg dual doped ZnO NPs using Salvadora persica extract against MDA-MB-231 and MCF-10 cells

Khadijeh Hamidian et al.

Summary: In this study, dual doped Zinc oxide nanoparticles consisting of silver and magnesium were prepared using Salvadora persica extract. The nanoparticles exhibited a wurtzite ZnO phase nanostructure and hexagonal morphology. The toxicity effects of the nanoparticles on breast cancer cells and normal cells were investigated, and it was found that the doped nanoparticles had lower toxicity compared to the undoped nanoparticles.

Supramolecular Gels Incorporating Cordyline terminalis Leaf Extract as a Polyphenol Release Scaffold for Biomedical Applications

Dieu Phuong Nguyen Thi et al.

Summary: The study involved encapsulating bioactive compounds from Cordyline terminalis leaf extract in gelatin-polyethylene glycol-tyramine (GPT) / alpha-cyclodextrin (α-CD) gels to create materials for biomedical applications with antioxidant properties and high biocompatibility. The addition of the extract delayed gelation time, but sustained release of polyphenols was achieved by adjusting the aqCT amount and gel properties.
