Effects of wheelchair Tai Chi ball exercise on physical and mental health and functional abilities among elderly with physical disability

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the effects of a 12-week Wheelchair Tai Chi Ball (WTCB) intervention on physical and mental health as well as functional abilities in elderly people with disabilities. The results indicated that the WTCB group showed significant improvements in pain self-efficacy and general physical health, as well as maintaining muscle strength in the upper extremities compared to the control group.
