Healthy and Sustainable Dietary Patterns in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review

Beatriz Teixeira et al.

Summary: The need for adherence to a healthy and sustainable dietary pattern in the pediatric stage is discussed worldwide. Adherence to these dietary patterns varies widely, with higher adherence associated with lower body fat, waist circumference, blood pressure, and metabolic risk. However, there is limited research on these patterns in children, and further validation and prospective studies are needed.
