Experimental and Theoretical Investigations of Low-Dimensional BiFeO3 System for Photocatalytic Applications

Manal Benyoussef et al.

Summary: Sub-20 nm BiFeO3 nanoparticles were fabricated using a solid-state approach and preferential leching process, and subsequently deposited on thin films. The effects of particle size, microstructure, and increased surface area on catalytic performances were systematically investigated. Improved optical properties and good photocatalytic water splitting potential were observed.

Effects of crystallization kinetics on the dielectric and electrical properties of BiFeO3 films

Y. Gonzalez-Abreu et al.

Summary: The effects of crystallization kinetics on the dielectric and electrical properties of BiFeO3 thin films were investigated. An anomalous relaxor-like dielectric behavior was observed, characterized by a broad maximum in the real dielectric permittivity as a function of temperature and low-frequency dielectric dispersion.

Structural, dielectric, ferroelectric and optical properties of Er doped BiFeO3 nanoparticles

Subhash Sharma et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of Er doping on the properties of BiFeO3 nanoparticles, showing improvements in dielectric, electrical, and optical properties. The Er-doped BFO exhibits enhanced dielectric properties, better P-E loops, and potential applications in the visible spectrum, making it a promising candidate for memory device applications.
