Computational Analysis of Nanoparticle Shapes on Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Due to Flat Horizontal Plate via Solar Collector

Muhammad Imran et al.

Summary: This work discusses the 2D unsteady flow of second grade hybrid nanofluid in terms of heat transfer and MHD effects over a stretchable moving flat horizontal porous plate. It considers the entropy of the system, magnetic field, Joule heating effects, and shape factors of tiny-sized particles. Mathematical representations and numerical data are used to analyze variations of momentum and temperature fields under different physical constraints.

Thermal transport analysis of six circular microchannel heat sink using nanofluid

Hassan Waqas et al.

Summary: The rapid growth of electronics devices in the late 20th century brought about a revolution in the electronics industry. However, the miniaturization and continuous operation of these devices often lead to overheating and reduced performance. To address this issue, it has become essential to incorporate effective cooling systems in device design. Nanofluids, with their excellent properties, have gained attention for their ability to efficiently cool devices and improve energy efficiency. This numerical study focuses on examining the surface temperature, heat transfer rate, thermal resistance, Darcy friction factor, and reliability of microelectronic chips in minichannel heat sinks, by utilizing TiO2/water nanofluids as coolants and comparing the outcomes with conventional water cooling.

Summary: This paper investigates a mathematical analysis of three-dimensional Eyring-Powell nanofluid nonlinear thermal radiation with modified heat plus mass fluxes. The slip condition is introduced to enhance the dynamical and physical study of structure, and a Riga plate is employed to diminish the friction and pressure drag of submarines. The Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model is used to evaluate heat transfer, and comparisons between bvp4c results and shooting technique are made with graphical and numerical illustrations for prominent parameters.

Improved lubrication performance of MoS2-Al2O3 nanofluid through interfacial tribochemistry

Jiaqi He et al.

Summary: In this study, MoS2-Al2O3 nanocomposite was synthesized using a solvothermal method, and a water-based nanofluid containing MoS2-Al2O3 nanoparticles was prepared which showed good stability and wettability. The tribological properties of the nanofluid under steel/steel contact were investigated, revealing significant reduction in friction force and wear rate. The excellent lubrication performance was attributed to the entry and movement of nanoparticles at the friction interface, as well as the formation of a double-layer tribofilm due to interfacial tribochemistry.
