Reaching fiber-laser coherence in integrated photonics

Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave LIDAR and 3D Imaging by Using Linear Frequency Modulation Based on Injection Locking

Summary: In this study, a FMCW LiDAR system utilizing double-sideband modulation with injection-locking to generate linear frequency modulation light source was proposed and demonstrated. The system achieved high resolution spatial imaging and accuracy without the need for complex algorithms or additional sampling circuits.
