Effectiveness of non-bedside teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic: a quasi-experimental study

Summary: This study compared the effects of presence-based teaching formats with and without patient contact on medical students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The results showed that teaching formats without patient contact received poorer overall grades from the students, but were rated better in terms of practical skills by the lecturers. Therefore, hybrid teaching approaches may hold potential in current and future bedside teaching.

The effect of online learning on communication between instructors and students during Covid-19 pandemic

Understanding these issues can lead to effective solutions in online education.

Nursing students' experiences of a pedagogical transition from campus learning to distance learning using digital tools

Effect of remote online exam delivery on student experience and performance in applied knowledge tests

Summary: Remote online delivery of summative assessments in medical education is effective and generally acceptable. During the COVID-19 pandemic, switching end of year exams to remote assessments resulted in some students experiencing reduced test anxiety while others experienced increased anxiety. Students generally preferred invigilated exams in a traditional setting, but performance in remote exams was found to be equivalent to campus-based exams in Year 5 students.

A Comprehensive Multicomponent Neurosurgical Course with use of Virtual Reality: Modernizing the Medical Classroom

Online-Learning due to COVID-19 Improved Mental Health Among Medical Students
