Integrative analyses of transcriptome and carotenoids profiling revealed molecular insight into variations in fruits color of Citrus Reticulata Blanco induced by transplantation

Microemulsion of essential oils from citrus peels and leaves with anti-aging, whitening, and irritation reducing capacity

Summary: This study investigated the anti-skin aging and anti-melanogenic effects of citrus oils and developed a microemulsion system to reduce their irritation capacity. The results showed that dried peel oil from Citrus reticulata had promising anti-aging and whitening properties. A microemulsion was developed using this oil, which significantly reduced its skin irritation. Overall, CR3 microemulsion was suggested as effective and safe for further cosmeceutical applications.

Physicochemical and functional characterization of pectin extracted from Moroccan citrus peels

Kinetic modeling and process intensification of ultrasound-assisted extraction of d-limonene using citrus industry waste

Summary: This study investigated the use of ultrasonication as a process intensification tool for the extraction of d-limonene from Citrus limetta peel. By using ultrasonic-assisted extraction, the extraction time was reduced to 20 minutes compared to 185 minutes in a conventional process. The highest extraction yield of d-limonene was achieved using hexane as solvent, biomass:solvent ratio of 1:10, 2 mm particle size, agitation speed 300 rpm, temperature 60 degrees C, ultrasonic power 80 W, 50% duty cycle and frequency 25 kHz.

Citrus aurantiifolia (Christm) Swingle: Biological potential and safety profile of essential oils from leaves and fruit peels
