Secondary influenza challenge triggers resident memory B cell migration and rapid relocation to boost antibody secretion at infected sites

Andrew J. MacLean et al.

Summary: The study reveals the response mechanism and function of lung BRM cells after influenza infection. Upon reinfection, these cells quickly localize to the infected sites and differentiate into plasma cells. Alveolar macrophages guide the localization of BRM cells and increase local antibody concentration by inducing the expression of chemokines.
