The perspectives of dialysis patients about the Covid-19 pandemic and differences between the modalities

Aysegul Oruc et al.

Summary: The study found that dialysis patients were more concerned about transmission risk during the Covid-19 pandemic, with HD patients showing higher overall concern scores. However, both groups had similar knowledge about the pandemic and prevention methods, as well as attitudes towards prevention, with a high compliance rate of personal preventive strategies. The study also suggested that HD patients were more likely to consider changing their current dialysis modality due to the pandemic, supporting the use of home dialysis treatments.
