Solar steam generation on scalable ultrathin thermoplasmonic TiN nanocavity arrays

A 3D oxygen vacancy-rich WO3/NF evaporator with a unique structure was developed in this study, showing high solar absorption, evaporation rate, and light-to-heat conversion efficiency, as well as stable salt-resistance performance. This work not only contributes to seawater desalination and heavy metal wastewater purification, but also provides insights for the design of other high photothermal conversion systems.
