Among different detection methods, colorimetric detection stands out for its high precision, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use. A portable and autonomous real-time detection device was designed using LED and photodiode, capable of detecting phosphorous and nitrite samples within specific concentration ranges with high sensitivity and low limits of detection. Modifications to the optoelectronic components could potentially broaden the platform's capability to sense a variety of analytes.
