A Review on Applications of CFD Modeling in COVID-19 Pandemic

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has posed significant challenges to global health and economy. The application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has been instrumental in understanding the airborne transmission of the virus and evaluating preventive measures. This article provides a comprehensive review of recent CFD applications for studying COVID-19, including the modeling of ventilation conditions, social distancing, and the use of facial masks. Furthermore, specialized applications such as microfluidic biosensors and UV radiation for virus inactivation are also discussed.

COVID-19 spread in a classroom equipped with partition-A CFD approach
