Mesoporous Sn@TiO2 nanostructures as excellent adsorbent for Ba ions in aqueous solution

Summary: Efficient adsorption of Ba ions was achieved using Sn@TiO2 nanocomposite generated by ultrasonication process with subsequent calcination at 300 degrees C. The adsorbent powder was characterized by various analytical techniques, confirming the successful doping of Sn into the TiO2 host lattice. The sorption results followed Langmuir isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetics, with an improved adsorption process above pHzc due to electrostatic attraction.

Preparation of (B,N)-codoped TiO2 micro-nano composite powder using TiBN powder as a precursor

Summary: (B,N)-codoped TiO2 was successfully prepared using TiBN powder as a precursor through the oxidation method. The oxidation process and organizational structure evolution of TiBN particles were revealed by XRD analysis. The obtained TiO2 consisted mainly of rutile phase and exhibited high photocatalytic efficiency. This study offers a new approach to (B,N)-codoping in TiO2 and has potential applications in environmental and energy fields.

Controlling anodization time to monitor film thickness, phase composition and crystal orientation during anodic growth of TiO2 nanotubes

Summary: This study investigated the effect of anodization time on the phase composition and morphology of anodic TiO2 during the growth process. The results showed that anodic TiO2 exhibited bottom-up tube growth with evidence of a compact layer. Highly sensitive humidity sensor based on the solid solution Zr0.2Ti0.8O2 nanofibers

Summary: The ZrxTi1-xO2 nanofibers synthesized through electrospinning process were investigated for their structure, phase composition, lattice parameters, morphology, specific surface area, and surface states. Zr incorporation had significant impacts on the phase structure, with Zr0.2Ti0.8O2 nanofibers exhibiting the best humidity sensing properties due to the high concentration of oxygen vacancies and reactive Ti3+ ions. Further study on sensing mechanism was conducted through complex impedance spectra analysis.

Synthesis and characterization of 2D MXene: Device fabrication for humidity sensing

Detailed analyses of the coatings' morphology, microstructure, and tribological behavior were conducted to understand the impact of incorporating these particles into the matrix.

Summary: The optical and structural properties of pure and modified mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles with different loadings of NiO were studied, with 10% NiO/TiO2 showing the highest photocatalytic efficiency. The creation of a p-n junction at the interface of NiO/TiO2 enhances the separation of photogenerated electron/hole pairs, improving the photodegradation activity. NiO content was identified as a key factor affecting the photodegradation of brilliant green and phenol, as well as hydrogen generation.
