Novel derivatives of the fluorescent protein Kaede's chromophore, (Z)-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-6/8-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3(2H)-ones, were reported. The introduction of a phenyl substituent at the 6th and 8th position of the imidazopyridinone fragment did not result in a shift in absorption and emission spectra.
We report novel derivatives of a chromophore of the fluorescent protein Kaede, (Z)-2-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-6/8-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3(2H)-ones.
