Charged moments in W3 higher spin holography

Suting Zhao et al.

Summary: In this paper, we study the charged moments in SL(3, M) higher spin holography and compare them with the dual two-dimensional conformal field theory with W-3 symmetry. For the vacuum state and a single entangling interval, we find that the W-3 algebra of the conformal field theory induces an entanglement W-3 algebra acting on the quantum state in the entangling interval. By computing the corresponding connected correlation functions of the modular charge operator up to quartic order in the chemical potential, we evaluate the logarithm of the charged moments perturbatively. Our result matches known results obtained from the charged topological black hole picture in SL(3, M) higher spin gravity.

Tripartite information at long distances

Cesar A. Agon et al.

Summary: This study computes the leading term of the tripartite information at long distances for three spheres in a CFT. The computation shows that the information decays according to r(-6 Delta), where r is the typical distance between the spheres, and Delta is the lowest primary field dimension. The results are validated through checks with three-dimensional free scalars.

Hidden relations of central charges and OPEs in holographic CFT

Yue-Zhou Li et al.

Summary: In this paper, the holographic central charges and OPE coefficients in four-dimensional CFTs are derived using AdS gravity as an effective field theory, with a focus on their invariance under metric field redefinition and a hidden relation among the OPE coefficients. Furthermore, it is proven that a specific relation holds for massless AdS gravity constructed from the most general Riemann tensor invariants, demonstrating the consistency of the derived results.

Symmetry-resolved entanglement for excited states and two entangling intervals in AdS3/CFT2

Konstantin Weisenberger et al.

Summary: The authors tested the proposal of [1] for holographic computation of charged moments and symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy in different excited states, as well as for two entangling intervals. The results showed equipartition of entanglement between different charge sectors in all cases.

Proof of the universal density of charged states in QFT

Javier M. Magan

Summary: This article demonstrates a recent conjecture regarding a universal formula for the charged density of states in QFT at high energies for global symmetries associated with finite groups, with emphasis on the importance of the certainty principle in relating the entropic order and disorder parameters. It also explores the origin and physics of the density of states by examining the vacuum sector only, and discusses how these arguments play a role in the entropy equipartition in such systems and their generalization to QFT's on non-compact manifolds.

Symmetry-resolved entanglement in AdS3/CFT2 coupled to U(1) Chern-Simons theory

Suting Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, we explore the symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy in the context of AdS(3)/CFT2 coupled to U(1) Chern-Simons theory. By relating the generating function for the charged moments to the amount of charge in the entangling subregion, we derive that the symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy is determined by the length of the Ryu-Takayanagi geodesic and the Chern-Simons level k. The results are confirmed by calculations in the dual conformal field theory utilizing the u(1)(k) Kac-Moody symmetry.

Mutual information superadditivity and unitarity bounds

Horacio Casini et al.

Summary: The strong superadditivity property of mutual information is derived from the Markov property of the vacuum state in a conformal field theory and strong subadditivity of entanglement entropy. This inequality encodes unitarity bounds for different types of fields, which saturate for free fields. The continuity property of mutual information characterizes free fields, and a general formula for the leading long-distance term is obtained for regions of arbitrary shape involving the modular flow of these regions.

Is the EMI model a QFT? An inquiry on the space of allowed entropy functions

Cesar A. Agon et al.

Summary: The mutual information between spatially separated regions in a CFT satisfies various structural physical properties, and when treated as an extensive function, a closed geometric formula can be obtained. The Extensive Mutual Information model describes a free fermion in d = 2, but additional operators are required for general dimensions. While the model matches certain results for free fermions in general d, further analysis rules out its representation of mutual information for any actual CFT or its limits.

Duality-invariant extensions of Einstein-Maxwell theory

Pablo A. Cano et al.

Summary: This study investigates higher-derivative extensions of Einstein-Maxwell theory that are invariant under electromagnetic duality rotations, revealing duality-invariant theories up to the eight-derivative level and a set of duality-invariant theories with non-minimal couplings. Through field redefinitions, it is shown that the most general duality-preserving theory up to six derivatives can be mapped to Maxwell theory minimally coupled to a higher-derivative gravity. It is conjectured that any duality-invariant extension of Einstein-Maxwell theory is perturbatively equivalent to a higher-derivative gravity minimally coupled to Maxwell theory, which is a general phenomenon at all orders.

Exact electromagnetic duality with nonminimal couplings

Pablo A. Cano et al.

Summary: The study investigates nonminimal extensions of Einstein-Maxwell theory with exact electromagnetic duality invariance. It is found that in theories with a quadratic dependence on the vector field strength, the Maxwell field couples to gravity through a curvature-dependent susceptibility tensor, and remarkably, the entropy only possesses a constant correction despite the action containing an infinite number of terms. Additionally, there is a lower bound for the charge and mass of extremal black holes in this theory.

Regular black holes in three dimensions

Pablo Bueno et al.

Summary: A plethora of new analytic black holes and globally regular horizonless spacetimes in three dimensions have been discovered, with solutions involving a single real scalar field. The new metrics are continuous generalizations of the BTZ solution, solving the Einstein gravity equations corrected by a new family of densities. Some solutions describe black holes with one or several horizons, while others have curvature singularities or are completely regular. Additionally, there are solutions describing globally regular and horizonless geometries.
