Function Analysis of P450 and GST Genes to Imidacloprid in Aphis craccivora (Koch)

Yuan-Xue Yang et al.

Summary: The study identified the important roles of P450 and GST genes in imidacloprid resistance in Aphis craccivora. Specific P450 genes were found to be up-regulated in response to imidacloprid treatment at different doses, mainly belonging to the CYP3 and CYP4 clans. Overexpression of certain genes was also observed in field populations, and knocking down CYP380C6 and CYP6DA2 led to increased sensitivity to imidacloprid in A. craccivora.

Functional analysis of ABCG and ABCH transporters from the red flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum

Janin Rosner et al.

Summary: The study focused on the potential functions of TcABCG and TcABCH genes in insecticide detoxification. Upregulation of some genes after insecticide treatment was found, but silencing these genes did not significantly increase susceptibility to insecticides, indicating an unspecific stress response rather than direct involvement in detoxification processes.

Genome editing of the SfABCC2 gene confers resistance to Cry1F toxin from Bacillus thuringiensis in Spodoptera frugiperda

Jin Ming-hui et al.

Summary: The ABCC2 gene has been identified as a receptor for Bt toxins in several lepidopteran insects, with mutations leading to field-evolved resistance to Cry1F toxin. Knockout strains generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 system provided evidence for the key role of the SfABCC2 gene in susceptibility and resistance to Cry1F.

Identification of ABCG transporter genes associated with chlorantraniliprole resistance in Plutella xylostella (L.)

Jinqiong Shan et al.

Summary: Overexpression of certain genes in the ABCG subfamily is implicated in the resistance of Plutella xylostella to chlorantraniliprole. These findings could provide a foundation for further exploration of the role of ABC transporters in chlorantraniliprole resistance in Plutella xylostella and other insect pests.

Identification and Expression Characterization of ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) Transporter Genes in Melon Fly

Hui-Qian Xu et al.

Summary: This study identified 49 ABC transporter genes in the melon fly and found that ZcABCB7 and ZcABCC2 may play key roles in detoxification metabolism. Their expression levels varied across developmental stages and tissues, with higher expression in the fat body. The findings suggest a potential mechanism for pesticide resistance in the melon fly.
