Weeklong improved colour contrasts sensitivity after single 670 nm exposures associated with enhanced mitochondrial function

Summary: Research shows that long wavelength light exposure can improve ATP synthesis and function in aging cells, enhancing mitochondrial efficiency. Experimental evidence indicates that short exposures to 670 nm light can significantly enhance color vision contrast performance in the elderly, but light exposure needs to be timed appropriately.
