The tight-focusing properties of radially polarized symmetrical power-exponent-phase vortex beam

Summary: In this paper, a new kind of radially polarized beam with rotationally symmetrical phase structure was introduced and its tightly focused properties were studied numerically. The results showed that the beam's properties varied with the topological charge and power order, which could be used in particle trapping and laser fabrication, especially for simultaneous trapping of multiple particles and fabrication of chiral microstructures.

Polarization and coherence properties in self-healing propagation of a partially coherent radially polarized twisted beam

Summary: An analytical expression for the self-healing of a partially coherent radially polarized twisted (PCRPT) beam is derived using the generalized Huygens-Fresnel integral. The coherence and polarization properties of the PCRPT beam in self-healing propagation are studied in detail. The existence of twist phase is found to have both positive and negative effects on the self-healing properties of the beam.
