The dynamic characteristics of pure-quartic solitons and soliton molecules

Xiaoyan Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, the dynamical characteristics of pure-quartic solitons (PQSs) generated in mode-locked fiber lasers are studied, and the bilinear forms and solutions of the fourth-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation (FNLSE) in optical fiber systems are obtained using Hirota's bilinear method. An interesting phenomenon of PQS molecular interaction is found, and soliton-asymmetric soliton molecules are obtained by parameters control.

Influence of Parameters of Optical Fibers on Optical Soliton Interactions

Qin Zhou

Summary: The interaction between optical solitons plays a crucial role in studying the interaction between light and matter, as well as the development of all-optical devices and the design of integrated optical paths. This study investigates the interaction of optical solitons based on the nonlinear Schrodinger equation, aiming to improve communication quality and system integration. By deriving solutions to the equation, the interaction of two solitons is analyzed, and suggestions are proposed to weaken their interactions.

Soliton Rectangular Pulses and Bound States in a Dissipative System Modeled by the Variable-Coefficients Complex Cubic-Quintic Ginzburg-Landau Equation

Yuan-Yuan Yan et al.

Summary: The study focused on the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation and calculated the analytic one-soliton solution of the variable-coefficients CQGLE. It was found that rectangular dissipative soliton pulses of the variable-coefficients CQGLE can be effectively realized and controlled, breaking through the energy limitation of soliton pulses and potentially providing a theoretical basis for the preparation of high-energy soliton pulses in fiber lasers.

On the approximate solution of fractional-order Whitham-Broer-Kaup equations

Hassan Khan et al.

Summary: The paper implements the Homotopy perturbation Laplace method to investigate solutions of fractional-order Whitham-Broer-Kaup equations, presenting illustrative examples to demonstrate the reliability of the method and the convergence of analytical solutions. The study also discusses the relationship between solutions of fractional-order and integer-order problems.

M-truncated optical solitons to a nonlinear Schrodinger equation describing the pulse propagation through a two-mode optical fiber

Abdullahi Yusuf et al.

Summary: This paper obtains optical solitons with M-truncated derivative and other solutions to the coupled NLSE, describing pulse propagation through a two-mode optical fiber. Various types of solitons, including dark, mixed dark-bright, and singular solitons, are successfully constructed using complex amplitude ansatz and polynomial expansion methods. Numerical simulations are used to analyze propagation properties and collision dynamics, revealing fusion along quasi-periodic waves. Additionally, the effects of nonlinear refractive elements on soliton strength are demonstrated through figures presented in the study.

Bright, dark, kink, singular and periodic soliton solutions of Lakshmanan-Porsezian-Daniel model by generalized projective Riccati equations method

Ghazala Akram et al.

Summary: In this article, the soliton solutions of the nonlinear Lakshmanan-Porsezian-Daniel (LPD) model are obtained using the generalized projective Riccati equations method. New solitary wave solutions, including various shapes of solitons, are derived in a unified way. The validity constraints for the constructed solutions are provided, and some obtained solitons are illustrated graphically to understand the physical dynamics of the LPD model.
