Best Practices in CD30 Immunohistochemistry Testing, Interpretation, and Reporting

Alejandro A. Gru et al.

Summary: CD30 immunohistochemistry is an important tool for the diagnosis of lymphomas and also serves as a predictive biomarker for treatment. However, there are challenges in the standardization of CD30 expression reporting due to inconsistencies in variables such as tissue processing and interpretation of results. This study proposes best practice recommendations to harmonize CD30 expression reporting and highlight its significance in clinical decision-making.

Response to brentuximab vedotin versus physician's choice by CD30 expression and large cell transformation status in patients with mycosis fungoides: An ALCANZA sub-analysis

Youn H. Kim et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the response to brentuximab vedotin in patients with MF, showing superior objective response rates and progression-free survival in patients with CD30 expression >= 10%. Regardless of the presence of large-cell transformation, brentuximab vedotin demonstrated improved efficacy in patients with MF.
