Unusual Emission Variations Near the Eclipse of Black Widow Pulsar PSR J1720-0533

S. Q. Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, we reported an exceptionally bright observation of PSR J1720-0533 using FAST, revealing quasi-periodic pulse emission variations during the eclipse that may be caused by plasma lensing. Additionally, we found that the linear polarization of the pulsar disappears before the eclipse, and pulse scattering may play a significant role in the eclipse of PSR J1720-0533.

FAST discovery of an extremely radio-faint millisecond pulsar from the Fermi-LAT unassociated source 3FGL J0318.1+0252

Pei Wang et al.

Summary: Utilizing high sensitivity radio searches, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) discovered an isolated millisecond pulsar (MSP) PSR J0318+0253, coinciding with an unassociated gamma-ray source. This collaboration between FAST and the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) teams resulted in the first confirmed new MSP discovery by FAST, potentially leading to the detection of more MSPs in the future. The discovery of PSR J0318+0253 contributes significantly to our understanding of neutron stars and may also aid in future gravitational wave detection through pulsar timing array (PTA) experiments.

Strong-Field Gravity Tests with the Double Pulsar

M. Kramer et al.

Summary: Continued timing observations of the double pulsar PSR J0737-3039A/B have led to significant improvements in measuring relativistic effects, with new effects observed for the first time. The precision tests of gravity theories and validation of general relativity's predictions have been achieved at a level of 1.3 x 10(-4) with 95% confidence, demonstrating the utility of the double pulsar for alternative theories of gravity tests. The implications of the findings for neutron stars, gravitational waves, interstellar medium, and formation models of double pulsar systems have also been discussed.

Asymmetrical Mass Ejection from Proto-white Dwarfs and the Formation of Eccentric Millisecond Pulsar Binaries

Qin Han et al.

Summary: Binary millisecond pulsars are expected to have very circular orbits, but the discovery of eccentric binary MSPs challenges this assumption. Existing models face uncertainties in explaining this phenomenon, leading to the proposal of a new model that takes into account the influence of thermonuclear flashes on proto-WDs.

Timing observations of three Galactic millisecond pulsars

D. R. Lorimer et al.

Summary: This study reports timing parameters for three millisecond pulsars observed with the Parkes 64-m telescope, Murriyang. One of the new pulsars is isolated, while the other two are in binary systems with low-mass companions. The study also highlights the incomplete nature of the current sample of MSPs and the presence of selection biases.
