By synthesizing a new adsorbent based on restricted access mesoporous magnetic polypyrrole, magnetic solid phase extraction for simultaneous determination of diclofenac, fipronil and febantel in whey samples was successfully achieved. The method showed advantages such as easy operation, high recovery, multiple reuse without losing efficiency, etc.
A new adsorbent based on restricted access mesoporous magnetic polypyrrole was synthesized and used in magnetic solid phase extraction for simultaneous determination of diclofenac (pKa 4.0), fipronil (pKa 0) and febantel (pKa 9.48) in whey samples. After proper characterization of adsorbent, the best conditions using magnetic solid phase extraction were: 250 mu L of whey at pH 5, 20 mg amount of material, 40 s of stirring, 1500 mu L ultrapure water as washing solvent and 1000 mu L of acetonitrile as eluent. The obtained recoveries ranged of 35.46 to 96.55 %, in which the adsorbent can be used more than five times without losing efficiency. The linearity method ranged of 9.74 to 2921 mu g kg(-1) with correlation coefficient (r) > 0.99 for all analytes. Finally, the adsorbent showed fast extraction, excellent reuse and protein exclusion, and acceptable reproducibility for different milk/whey samples.
