Improvement of Fe0.8Ni0.2S2 Peroxidase-like Activity through the Accelerated Conversion from Fe3+ to Fe2+

Chengyu Zhang et al.

Summary: Nanoenzymes, as strong substitutes for natural enzymes, often require high concentrations of substrates in practical applications. In this study, a series of binary metal sulfides were synthesized and Fe0.8Ni0.2S2 was found to exhibit the highest activity. Compared to natural enzymes, Fe0.8Ni0.2S2 demonstrated higher catalytic efficiency and affinity to H2O2, making it a promising nanozyme for detection of H2O2 and AA.
