Summary: The novel miRNA, miR-146a-5p, was found to regulate porcine intramuscular adipogenesis by targeting SMAD4 and TRAF6 to attenuate TGF-beta and AKT/mTORC1 signaling pathways, respectively. These findings offer a new biomarker for enhancing pork quality by modulating intramuscular fat deposition.
