Ultraeven Mo-Doped CoP Nanocrystals as Bifunctional Electrocatalyst for Efficient Overall Water Splitting

Liang Li et al.

Summary: Ultraeven Mo-doped CoP composites were fabricated by an in situ phosphorization protocol, showing excellent bifunctional catalytic activities for overall water splitting in both acidic and alkaline conditions. The highest HER activity and stability were achieved with a Mo/Co mole ratio of 1/2.3, with low overpotentials observed in both acidic and alkaline media.

Binary-Metal Mn2SnO4 Nanoparticles and Sn Confined in a Cubic Frame with N-Doped Carbon for Enhanced Lithium and Sodium Storage

Shuyun Wan et al.

Summary: The binary-metal Mn2SnO4 nanoparticles and Sn encapsulated in N-doped carbon were prepared as anodes for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium-ion batteries (SIBs), showing improved capacity and stability. The coexistence of binary metals enhanced intrinsic conductivity, while the hollow architecture and carbon coating relieved internal stress and prevented structural collapse. This work provides a feasible preparation strategy for binary-metal materials to enhance the performance of lithium- and sodium-ion batteries.

Synthesis and NOx removal performance of anatase S-TiO2/g-CN heterojunction formed from dye wastewater sludge

Sayed Mukit Hossain et al.

Summary: The study utilized sludges generated from dye wastewater treatment to retrieve photoactive titania, which was heterojunctioned with graphitic carbon nitride for enhanced photocatalytic activity in removing nitrogen oxides from the atmosphere. Advanced sample characterization confirmed successful heterojunction with improved morphological and optical attributes, leading to enhanced photoactivity in removing NOx under both UV and visible light irradiance.
