Porous cobalt ferrite microspheres decorated two-dimensional MoS2 as an efficient and wideband microwave absorber

Summary: In this study, CoFe2O4/MoS2 composites were successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal method, combining the high electrical conductivity and flexibility of MoS2 with the magnetic properties of CoFe2O4 to create competitive microwave absorption properties. Despite a decrease in saturation magnetization, the composites maintained a high coercivity and demonstrated superior microwave absorption properties compared to individual CoFe2O4 and MoS2 materials.

Facile preparation of CNTs microspheres as improved carbon absorbers for high-efficiency electromagnetic wave absorption

Summary: In this study, carbon nanotubes microspheres (CNTsM) with porous skeleton and net structure were successfully prepared using a simple method of ultrasonic atomization combined with heat treatment. The dielectric characteristics and electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption properties of CNTsM within the frequency range of 2-18 GHz were investigated, showing excellent EMW absorption performance due to multiple reflection/scattering, enhanced interfacial polarization, and optimized impedance matching. CNTsM can be considered a new competitive candidate for EMW absorption materials, with a maximum reflection loss of -35 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth of 4.4 GHz.

High electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness in MgO composites reinforced by aligned graphene platelets

Summary: In this study, MgO matrix composites with parallel graphene layers were prepared by intercalating the precursor into expandable graphite. The composite exhibited a high electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of around 30 dB due to the multiple reflections and absorptions between the parallel graphene layers. The introduction of parallel graphene layers also increased the hardness and strength of the MgO composite, making it a promising material for electromagnetic shielding.

Electromagnetic interference shielding performance and mechanism of Fe/Al modified SiCf/SiC composites

Preparation of SiC Nanowire/Carbon Fiber Composites with Enhanced Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Performance

The composites exhibited superior thermal stability and EMW absorption performance, with the ones obtained at 1500 degrees Celsius showing a minimum reflection loss of -36.5 dB and an effective absorption band of 5.5 GHz. This work provides a simple method to obtain and design CF-based materials with good microwave absorption properties.
