Zinc-Lysine (Zn-Lys) Decipher Cadmium Tolerance by Improved Antioxidants, Nutrient Acquisition, and Diminished Cd Retention in Two Contrasting Wheat Cultivars

Muhammad Hussaan et al.

Summary: Seed priming with zinc-lysine can alleviate Cd toxicity in wheat by enhancing antioxidant machinery and reducing Cd accumulation. The concentration of 1.5 ppm Zn-Lys treatment was more effective in improving Cd tolerance in wheat cultivars.

Application of hydrogen-rich water modulates physio-biochemical functions and early growth of fragrant rice under Cd and Pb stress

Lin Ma et al.

Summary: The study found that the application of hydrogen-rich water (HRW) can enhance the growth of fragrant rice under lead stress and slightly alleviate root inhibition caused by cadmium toxicity, by regulating antioxidant defense response to reduce the toxic effects of cadmium and lead on growing rice plants.

Short-term cold stress affects physiological and biochemical traits of pistachio rootstocks

Kiarash Jamshidi Goharrizi et al.

Summary: The physiological response of pistachio rootstocks to cold stress showed significant changes, with an increase in antioxidant enzyme system and non-enzymatic antioxidant defense system parameters under induction, as well as elevation of oxidative stress parameters; meanwhile, total soluble protein decreased significantly. Bi-plot and cluster analyses indicated that Badami rootstock was the most tolerant to cold stress.
