A novel anode structure for diffuse arc anode attachment

Summary: Changing the anode surface structure can promote the formation of diffuse arc anode attachment mode. Experimental results show that an annular boss structure on the anode surface can facilitate the diffuse arc attachment of the arc. The introduction of an annular boss increases the electric field strength near the anode surface, leading to a more even dispersion of the arc and reduced current density and heat flux, which is beneficial for the stabilization of diffuse arc attachment.
