Hydrogen-Bonded Framework of a Cobalt(II) Complex Showing Superior Stability and Field-Induced Slow Magnetic Relaxation

Dong Shao et al.

Summary: A unique hydrogen-bonded organic-inorganic framework with superior thermal and chemical stability and permanent porosity was constructed. Magnetic studies revealed significant magnetic anisotropy and field-induced slow magnetic relaxation in the framework. Computational studies provided insights into the origin of the magnetic anisotropy.

Multi-Mode Color-Tunable Long Persistent Luminescence in Single-Component Coordination Polymers

Zheng Wang et al.

Summary: A series of metal-organic coordination polymers displaying color-tunable long persistent luminescence (LPL) were successfully synthesized in this study, achieving multi-mode dynamic color tuning. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and theoretical calculations revealed that the modification of LPL was due to the balanced action from single molecule and aggregate triplet excited states caused by an external heavy-atom effect.

Four new coordination polymers with a Y-shaped tricarboxylic acid ligand: Structural diversities, luminescence sensing and magnetic properties

Qing-Qing Yan et al.

Summary: A new aromatic tricarboxylic acid with pyridine core was utilized as a building block to synthesize four coordination polymers with different dimensionalities and structural diversities. Two of them showed potential as multi-responsive sensing materials, while the other two were investigated for their magnetic properties. Adjusting solvents and metal nodes proved to be promising in designing and constructing CPs or MOFs.

Morphologically controlled eco-friendly synthesis of a novel 2D Hg(II) metal-organic coordination polymer: Biological activities and DFT analysis

Zohreh Mehrabadi et al.

Summary: A series of mercury(II) metal-organic coordination polymers (Hg-MOCPs) were successfully synthesized by controlling their morphology. The study found that reactant concentrations and reaction time directly influence the size and morphology of the crystals, while temperature and sonication power have no control over them.

A series of coordination polymers constructed from mixed ligands for highly selective luminescence sensing of Fe3+ ions

Yan Wang et al.

Summary: Four coordination polymers were synthesized under solvothermal conditions using a mixed-ligand strategy. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibit similar 2D layers, while compounds 3 and 4 form 1D chain structures that extend into different 3D supramolecular architectures through hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions. Compound 1 shows remarkable fluorescence responses towards Fe3+ ions, with a detection limit of 1.0 x 10(-5) M, indicating its potential for sensitive detection of trace amounts of Fe3+ in aqueous solutions.
