Self-Healing Hydrophilic Porous Photothermal Membranes for Durable and Highly Efficient Solar-Driven Interfacial Water Evaporation

Fuchang Xu et al.

Summary: Developing a solar-driven interfacial water evaporator with self-healing ability and high-efficiency water evaporation performance is highly desirable. In this study, a self-healing hydrophilic porous photothermal (SHPP) membrane was fabricated by utilizing a self-healing hydrophilic polymer, and it was used in a solar-driven interfacial evaporator. The SHPP membrane exhibited high water evaporation rate and energy efficiency, and its structural integrity could be entirely restored through reformation of hydrogen bonds, indicating its stability and long-lasting performance.
