Magnetoelectric and multiferroic properties of spinels

Athinarayanan Sundaresan et al.

Summary: Over the last two decades, significant progress has been made in combining ferroelectricity and magnetism in the same material, particularly through the discovery of spin-induced ferroelectricity with strong coupling between magnetism and electric polarization, which is determined by the symmetries of the crystal lattice and magnetic structure.

Magnetic order and crystalline electric field excitations of the quantum critical heavy-fermion ferromagnet CeRh6Ge4

J. W. Shu et al.

Summary: CeRh6Ge4 is a stoichiometric heavy fermion ferromagnet that can be tuned to a quantum critical point by hydrostatic pressure. The magnetic ordering and CEF scheme of this system were characterized, suggesting that orbital anisotropy is important for understanding the observed anisotropic hybridization.
