The Relationship between the Timing of Sugammadex Administration and the Upper Airway Obstruction during Awakening from Anesthesia: A Retrospective Study

Eunsu Kang et al.

Summary: The coordination of consciousness and muscular function recovery is crucial during emergence from anesthesia. Timing of sugammadex administration does not significantly affect upper airway obstruction, but a higher minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) is associated with an increased risk of upper airway obstruction after tracheal extubation.
