Construction and gas uptake performance of cyano-functional hypercrosslinked polymers via knitting strategy

Ying Cheng et al.

Summary: The research on fabrication of functionalized hypercrosslinked polymers (HCPs) with high specific surface area for gas storage has gained significant interest. By utilizing a solvent knitting strategy, cyano-functional HCPs were fabricated via one step Friedel-Crafts reaction, showing high BET surface area. These HCPs, especially HCP-TPB-CN-3:1, demonstrate high surface area and potential for CO2 and CH4 capture.

Efficient removal and immobilization of radioactive iodide and iodate from aqueous solutions by bismuth-based composite beads

Qian Zhao et al.

Summary: A stable millimeter-level bismuth-based polymer composite bead was developed for effectively removing radioactive iodine from aqueous solutions, showing high adsorption capacities and selective removal of iodine anions. The composite bead demonstrated efficient removal kinetics, reduced leaching, and easy separation, making it a promising candidate for environmental remediation of iodine-contaminated water.
