Adsorption desulfurization performance of PdO/SiO2@graphene oxide hybrid aerogel: Influence of graphene oxide

Jiacheng Xu et al.

Summary: Prepared PdO/SiO2@graphene oxide (GO) hybrid aerogels showed better adsorption performance for thiophenics compared to PdO/SiO2, attributed to the incorporation of GO increasing specific surface area and Pd incorporation rate, with Pd2+ ions and GO acting as important adsorption centers. The adsorption process was spontaneous and exothermic, following the second-order kinetic model dominated by chemical interaction.

Summary: The synthesis, characterization, and adsorption studies of polyaniline (PANI) and polyaniline/montmorillonite clay (PANI/MMT) nanocomposites have been conducted. The PANI/MMT nanocomposites, fabricated using in situ polymerization method, showed complete removal of Acid Green 25 (AG25) dye, with the adsorption data fitting a pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Due to its efficient and rapid dye removal, PANI/MMT nanocomposites are promising adsorbents for continuous adsorption systems.

Preparation and characterization of ternary Cu/Cu2O/C composite: An extraordinary adsorbent for removing anionic organic dyes from water

Junhua Li et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized a Cu/Cu2O/C composite with ultra-high anionic dyes adsorption capacity, which can be easily recovered and showed spontaneous and exothermic adsorption process. The synergistic effect of physical and chemical interactions, as well as chemisorption as the main rate-limiting step were identified, with excellent adsorption ability mainly attributed to the interaction between sulfonic group and Cu. This work may contribute to the development of high adsorption capacity materials for toxic organic pollutants removal and selective anion separation.
